Further Chain & Flight Scrapers and Scum Removal Systems for the WWTP Wiener Neustadt, Austria

At the beginning of August 2017 two more KKR Plastic Chain Scrapers and also two more SSR Screw-conveyors Scum Removers were installed in the final sedimentation tanks no. 1.3 and no. 1.4 at the sewage treatment plant Wiener Neustadt.

Tschuda has already been working at the WWTP Wiener Neustadt for many years:

In the years 2010 and 2011 the plant had to be extended. Tschuda products were installed not only in the new rectangular final sedimentation tanks no. 1.7 and 1.8 having a length of 52,8m and a width of 10m but also in the new circular puffertank, which was used as a final sedimenation tank during the extension phase and has a diameter of 52,0m.

Refitting of existing sedimentation tanks

After the extension phase the existing and old final sedimentation tanks no. 1.1 to 1.6 were also retrofitted to the state of the art one ofter the other within the years 2015 to 2017.

Extensive construction measures were necessary to allow the implementation of submerged clear water effluent pipes instead of the existing overflow channels. At the same time the old scraper systems with heavy steel chains were replaced by modern scraping technology and also an effective scum removal system was installed in all 6 remaining tanks.

Finally Tschuda was allowed to deliver and install chain and flights scrapers and scum removal systems in all 8 final sedimentation tanks and we would liket to thank Abwasserverband Wiener Neustadt Süd for all the years of successful cooperation.
